A weekend in the gardens

What a huge weekend. My friends and I spent it in the midst of the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens for a music festival.

The event was held over three days, but my friends and I only attended the Saturday lineup. We watched Amy Shark, San Cisco, and Boy and Bear. I have been a fan of San Cisco and Boy and Bear for a few years, so I was super stoked to see them live. They did not disappoint.

Each act had their highlights. Amy’s soulful voice was the perfect opener. San Cisco got everyone dancing with their infectiously groovy tunes. Boy and Bear invoked nostalgia with their folky ballads.  Events like these are the reason I moved 850km to Melbourne.

The weather was cloudy and there were a few droplets here and there, but the rain fortunately stayed away.

There was a delicious range of food for meat and plant-eaters alike! I had the Mexican chips with guacamole.
